The principle of high temperature furnace for the universal testing machine


The furnace body adopts a split structure, the outer wall is made of high-quality stainless steel, and the inside is made of high-temperature alumina furnace tube. The furnace tube and the furnace wall are filled with thermal insulation ceramic fiber cotton, which has good insulation effect and small temperature rise on the surface of the furnace body.

There are grooves on the inner wall of the furnace tube, and the iron-chromium- aluminum resistance wire is embedded in the furnace tube according to the length of the soaking zone and the temperature gradient and fluctuation requirements. The upper and lower holes of the furnace body have a small opening structure to reduce heat loss.

The rear part of the furnace body is equipped with hinges to facilitate the connection with the rotating arm or column. 

System composition

The electric furnace system consists of: high temperature furnace body, temperature measurement and control system, heating element, temperature measurement element, adjustable support arm system, high temperature stretching fixture and connection accessories, pull rod up and down holding device system and so on.

The furnace body is installed on the left side of the rear part of the main machine, and a mounting plate is installed on the lower stage of the main machine and the upper beam to fix the 40 columns. The three-rotating arm of the furnace body is connected with the column, and the furnace body is easy and fast to rotate in and out of the main machine.

The high-temperature furnace body adopts a manual screw adjusting and lifting device, which can meet the requirements of different sample sizes and adjust the height of the furnace body to ensure that the center of the sample remains consistent with the furnace body. The adjustment range is 100mm.

The heating element is a spiral iron-chromium-aluminum resistance wire. The heating body is divided into three stages of control.

Temperature measurement and control components: N-type thermocouples are used. Three 1m ceramic shell bare wire N-type thermocouples.

Note: The thermocouples are all connected by quick connectors, and the + and - ports of the connectors have different sizes, which can ensure that they are installed in place at one time.

High temperature fixture and connection accessories

According to the temperature requirements, the high temperature fixtures and high temperature tie rods are made of high temperature resistant alloy material made of Superalloy. The bar sample adopts threaded connection, sample size: M12*diameter 5mm.

The plate sample adopts the pin connection method, and the clamping thickness is downward compatible from the maximum specification: when clamping a sample with a small thickness, positioning pins of different specifications are added on both sides of the sample to ensure that the sample is on the tensile axis.
