What do we need to pay attention to when choosing a tensile testing machine

Tensile testing machine is also known as universal material testing machine. The universal testing machine is a mechanical afterburner testing machine used for static load, tension, compression, bending, shear, tearing, peeling and other mechanical properties of instruments and equipment for various materials. It is suitable for plastic sheets, pipes, Various physical and mechanical performance tests of special profiles, plastic films, rubber, wires and cables, steel, glass fibers and other materials are developed for material development, and are indispensable testing equipment for physical testing, teaching research, and quality star control. So what do we need to pay attention to when choosing a tensile testing machine?

1.Transmission

There are screw drive and rack drive. The former is expensive and is used for high precision and high test repeatability; the latter is cheap and is used for low precision and low test repeatability. Flexible packaging tensile machines are frequently used and require high precision, so screw drive should be selected. The screw rod plays a decisive role in the measurement of tensile force accuracy. Lanzhou Cancer Hospital generally has ball screws, trapezoidal screws, and general screws. Among them, the accuracy of the ball screw is high, but its performance depends on the operation of the computer servo system. The price of the whole set is also relatively expensive.

2.test items

Flexible packaging requires a multi-purpose tensile machine, that is, on the basis of equipped with different clamps, it can be used for stretching, compression, bending, tearing, shearing, 180 degree peeling, 90 degree peeling test, three-point bending resistance, four-point bending resistance Wait.

3.Test speed

Some of the commercially available tensile machines are 30~400 mm/min, and some are 0.01~500mm/min. The former generally uses ordinary speed control systems, which have lower cost and roughness affects accuracy. The latter uses a servo system, which is expensive and has high precision. For flexible packaging companies, it is ideal to choose a servo system. The speed range of 0.01~500mm/min is ideal, which not only meets the accuracy requirements, but also the price is within a reasonable range.

4.accuracy

Accuracy  include force measurement accuracy, speed accuracy, deformation accuracy, and displacement accuracy.

5.capacity, test stroke, configuration

Different pulling force ranges and different force sensors will result in different structures, which will directly affect the cost of the instrument. For general flexible packaging manufacturers, a tensile force of 300 Newtons is sufficient.According to the performance and requirements of the flexible packaging film to be tested, the stroke can be 600-800mm.
